  • Can't find nominal tolerances

New to this but here goes
When I do a scan of multiple parts I get an error message saying Find Nominals Tolerance. Not sure where to look to change this

    thank you

Go to your scan command in the code, press F9. The Execution tab will have your FindNoms tolerance.

Is there a default tolerance or is it user defined. Current tolerance is 3.000

User defined. Search through the help files for some more information, but it roughly has to do with the approximate form error of the part + approximate positional error + approximate probe radius, if I am not mistaken. What is the probe radius that you are using?

What is the probe radius that you are using? Are you in IN or MM?

Try setting the FindNoms tolerance to 1.000

also set it to SELECTED SURFACES ONLY otherwise it might grab non-scan surfaces instead if the part is bad enough.
