  • Micromeasure II

    Does anyone know of someone who can repair an old machine? We love it and want to fix it and/or if you have any idea how to fix the error message "can not solve measure again" message - I have tried everything from completely removing all the connections, rebooting, cleaning, you name it nothing.

    It depends on the cmm (micromeasure 2 is also the name of Still cmms) and your location...
    Do you work with PC-DMIS ? (ok, it's a silly question here...)
    Can you post a picture of the cmm, and a screen shot of the message ?

            I know service cannot get parts for that controller but they may be able to assist you in some way. I would get in touch with the service manager for your region and see if they can do anything. Paying attention to the thread I think there might be an issue with the controller itself which is not good news but there is a chance that the issue is not related to the controller.

          Old machine seems to be the right name...
          Does it appear whatever you measure, or is it just on a feature ?

              I can't measure at all that is the problem, this is occurring in the initial set up - calibration it is unable to measure the sphere

                  just for grins, have you tried cleaning the scales ? be very careful and gentle use kimwipe (lint free ) and 70 % isopropyl alcohol

                    On those old cmms, maybe there's somewhere in the controller a port to plug a screen and a keyboard ?
                    (I saw it on a Sharp32, it could help understanding what's going on)
                    Does the probe "beeps" ?

                        Sorry yes the probe beeps...honestly I wouldn't be reaching out if I hadn't tried everything I know how to do from diagnostics to trying a different sphere and removing and replacing the cards, etc. I was hoping that someone might have seen this error and have a solution and if not know someone who used to fix these machines who could help.

                            There is only one remote recommendation I might have. That controller might be the one with the cartridge sticking out the side? If that is the case, shut down the controller, remove the cartridge, reseat it, power on, and try again. Its a long shot, but it can't hurt?
