  • Renishaw Probe in PC-DMIS

Hello All! I am still green to PC-DMIS and I am trying to define a new disc probe, Renishaw P/N A-5555-0298 4mm disc probe, but I am unsure on how to do so. I read that the probe wizard will do this but I was wondering if there was an easier way to download the probe files for different companies. Right now at my shop we only use hexagon probes but they do not make a 4mm disc probe, hence my current situation. Does anyone know how I should go about this? Does Renishaw offer downloadable files?

Maybe it's just the end of the file name which is not directly usable.
Take a look at the probe.dat file in the installation folder. If you find the probe, copy/paste it in a USRPROBE.dat, and modify the end (example replace M2 by Leitz).

Thank you so much! May I ask how you learned to do this? It is still very confusing to me.

VVPTD :you can play with this :
      ftp://ftp.wilcoxassoc.com/docs/
then go in "how to docs", then select "probefile.doc"
