  • PC-DMIS portable and CMM offline together?

We have a laptop for the Romer that has a CLM license for PC-DMIS portable. I also have a hasp for PC-DMIS offline that I use at my desk computer for offline programming. In the event of us shutting down due to COVID-19, can I use the hasp to work on programs for our CMM on the same laptop that I have the PC-DMIS for the Romer license?

You should be able to be offline with the Romer laptop already. Mine does (but I have a hasp)

Thanks for the quick reply Matt. Let me clarify.

I am looking to run PC-DMIS for CMM offline on the same laptop I use for the Romer. PC-DMIS for the Romer isn't compatible with a certain autofeatures and scans. I want the option to either work on programs for the Romer or work on programs for the DCC CMM.

IF you have the dongle already used at an offline location, shouldn't you be able to load the same version of the software you use at that workstation onto the laptop and then work there with no issues ? You will be really using 2 version of DMIS that are not interchangeable ? Portable vs. CAD ++ ??

I didn't witness them installing PC-DMIS on the laptop for the Romer, but my understanding is that it's the same version of PC-DMIS. The laptop version says CAD++ Version 2018 R2(release) - Build # 437 (Service Pack 6) It looks like a regular release.
It just has different options available based on the license. Like PRO, CAD, & CAD++. But if there are multiple licenses, how will it know what to use?
