  • Report duplication problem

    Hi everyone,

    I've a question concerning the print command - to file - append option in PC-Dmis. My reports are being duplicated and i don,t know why. It's confusing to the Prodution department.

    Can you help me to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    I have had something similar to what i think your explaining happen, the only thing i have found to correct this is to click save then close the program then reopen
    then refresh report then all is good.

      Are there any print commands in your program? If there are, be sure to disable the printing from the File>Printing tab so that only the print command will print a report (with whatever settings the command has).
      I don't use append so I am unsure if your issue is related specifically to append or not.

      EDIT: If you aren't the programmer and there IS a print command, it could be for a specific reason.

        Check this for proper settings.

        File > Printing > Report window print setup

        I have no print commands in my programs, I control this with the above.

          Thanks for your suggestions.

          In fact i have a print command at the bottom of my program:

          CS1 =REPORT/TEMPLATE, FILENAME= MECA_REPORT.RTP, Section=-1,REPORTMODE=INSERT
          PARAM/=
          ENDREPORT/
          PRINT/REPORT,EXEC MODE=END,$
          TO_FILE=ON,APPEND=VAR_FILENAME,AUTO OPEN REPORT=ON,$
          TO_PRINTER=OFF,COPIES=1,$
          TO_DMIS_REPORT=OFF,FILE_OPTION=INDEX,FILENAME=,$
          REPORT_THEORETICALS=NONE,REPORT_FEATURE_WITH_DIMEN SIONS=NO,$
          TO_EXCEL_OUTPUT=OFF,
          PREVIOUS_RUNS=DELETE_INSTANCES

            So that would be the reason for the double print then: If you don't want 2 reports, disable either the command in the program or the setting Tking and I mentioned under File>Printing> Report Window Print Setup

          i agree with tking , at least for my purposes, a report is not always required
