  • Report -nan(ind)

    Yesterday my boss and I were generating a report for some parts we ran but on our true position for OUTTOL and BONUS it said -nan(ind) does anyone know what this means and a sure fire way to fix it? I was able to remake the report and it fixed it but I would like a better understanding of the issue to try and avoid it later down the line. We currently run 2019r1 if that helps, and the results that were measured were actually good but because of that error it showed as bad result.

    Nan = not a number

    Do you have variables as feature names or as tolerances?

    Maybe reconstruct the dimensions or features.

      hmm, no variables used as feature names or tolerances, and we tried reconstructing it. the only way I was able to get it to work is to change the true position from a circular tolerance zone to a parallel one, this was all done on a slot so it had callouts for both length and width as separate gd and t. the only thing I could think of is that the program got confused and after switching back and forth it refreshed itself?

        Be careful with this problem; had the same thing happen on one prg. Closed it. Re-opened it and all the feature noms and such went to <nan>. Had to regenerate the entire prg again.
        Hopefully this doesn't happen to you.
