Trying to find out if possible to perform manual scans with this scanner? Have been under the impression that can only operate in DCC and must have CAD model to pick points. Will possibly need to scan stamped process panels for which I will not have CAD to select points from. Thanks

It's not possible to manually move the machine with the joystick and scan data. But it's possible to generate scans using the joystick then run them in DCC mode. This is done by creating a linear open scan and using the probe enable button to define your start, direction, and end points for the scan.
The bigger issue is that you're not going to generate any nominal data for the scan to create color maps or measurement data that's not defined on the print without a cad model.
