  • leveling an extra plane to lower the fixture

    hey,

after aligning the fixture can i lower it a bit by leveling another plane that is basicaly a small label plate above the fixture 2mm thick from the surface , can i do that , will the machine "think" that fixture is 2mm inside the marble , if possible can the machine read another "A0" lind that consists of only a leveling comand

or can i do that using the workplanes ,

with CTL+ALT+A align, you can shift the origin Z point by an offset distance.

do you mean editing the alignment and changing the offset for z origin ?

Yes if you do this it will prompt you "do you want to update theos of all related dimensions? click NO. and it will shift your measured hits by that offset value. I always save a copy of the routine beforehand, because 40% of the time I fubar it on my first attempt.
