LK Common Driver PC-DMIS 2019

Our IT Dept is replacing my computer ... we decided to put 2019 on the new one. Getting an error regarding the LK common driver. Looks like the folder is there (C:\LK\LK DLL), it's in the path, the LK dongle driver looks to be working in Device Manager (DESKey/DK2usb device is there and functioning normally) and I can do a DIR command and see the LK dll in the specified path, yet we get an error when starting PC-DMIS.

Unable to load Common Driver dll: C:\LK\LK DLL\lkcmmdrvru.dll
Possible causes are:
Common Driver filename incorrectly specified
Common Driver not properly installed
Dongle drivers not properly installed
Dongle not properly connected to the parallel port


Hopefully something simple we missed, but we haven't been able to find it.

Unfortunately it's just not that simple with the common driver. You have to have Nikon or someone competent with common driver install and configure it then someone from Hexagon would then need to setup PC-DMIS to connect using the interface. Hopefully you didn't destroy the old hard drive because there are several files that are needed. Tech support might be able to get you to the right guys. Do you know who did the PC-DMIS side of things for you initially?

Yea the doc shows some info for version 3.2 of PC-DMIS. There are some configuration considerations that aren't easy or straight forward with modern common driver and Windows. I don't suggest customers attempt this type of upgrade without assistance.

Pretty much exactly what I said in my earlier post. Start with Nikon/LK or who ever owns them now to get help with properly installing the common driver and comp files for your machine. They you're going to have to contact Hexagon tech support or service to get assistance with configuring PC-DMIS.

These are complicated installation.
