  • Report window size

Sometimes, when I open the report window, it takes up the whole graphics window and I want it to stop doing that but I'm not sure how.

I run dual monitors and have DMIS take up both monitors most of the time. When it is on both monitors, I like to have a smaller report window so I can look at the CAD and the report at the same time. Some programs it always opens the report window full (graphics display) screen and most of the time I can't get it to go smaller.

    Any help/ideas?

right click in your edit window and uncheck Docking view

That changes the edit window which is just fine. It's the report window I am having issues with.

When that happens to me, I have to go View>UNCHECK Report Window. File> Close. Reopen the program, and go View> CHECK Report Window. Now it will not be maximized. I'm using 2015.1

Ok like I said before post #2 that unlocks everything, then you can check the docking view again, but once you maximize your graphic screen or report screen, then you have to do the docking thing again.

Another option is to use the Cascade windows. Then resize the windows and save a new Layout. Then you can use the Next and Previous windows. I use this method when I want the Basic Script Editor to stay visible when I use the Edit window.
