Is there a way that I can visually see the dimensions in the graphic display window?

right click on the feature in the graphic display and select Create Dim Info Box... others will know better about settings though but that's a start -
you can also turn GRAPH to ON within the dimension output, then increase the MULTI (multiplier for the error value) until you get a deviation arrow that's visibleComment
