  • need some help with scanning and maybe filtering

im having some trouble getting these single red arrows to go away this is a unilateral profile of .002 so pretty tight and pretty much every one is failing because of these few spots my scan peramitters are 4 points per mm with a speed of 5 and acceleration of 5 . its by no means fast i tried playing around with constructed filtering but with no luck i would hope the outlier button would get ride of them but it seems to do nothing any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks SCAN .png

are there dips in the part like it shows? if so, you have to leave them there. I've seen this on WEDM details, little spot where the machine slowed down or sped up and took (or left) little spots of stock.

To test what Matt is saying, you can show the hits of your scan. Find the hit with the largest negative T-value. Create an auto vector point by keying in the nominals of that "bad" hit and execute. If you get the same results, then you will know that too much stock was taken off in that area. If it shows good, then try the other points that are showing out. If they are all good, then just highlight the hit(s) in your scan and delete.

no there is no stock there this is noise these red arrows would be plus material not holes or dings this is a unilateral profile i hit the area with a stone and everything this is the cmm lying to me with a unilateral profile the cmm fails a profile measurement for +.00001 that profile pic has a multiplier of 400 to get it to look like that

Is it a straight line or a curve, there'll be a huge difference in filtering based on that info.
