I am using pcdmis 2019 r2 and every time it crashes (seemed like every 5 minutes today) it resets my default printer to pcdmis convertor 50 and my report will not print out until I reset default printer. What do I need pcdmis convertor 50 for and is there any way to stop it resetting my default printer.

Using 2019 R1 and it does it to us also randomly. haven't found a solution yet. just keep resetting the default printer

The convertor 50 is the driver for printing pdf's. I would check your windows settings for default printers and your admin rights on the folder you are printing to

Windows 10 has the nasty habit of setting the latest installed printer driver as the default driver. Not always, but it does happen. I don't know what the pre-conditions are for this to happen, but I've seen it many times. I don't think it has anything to do with PC-DMIS.

Nothing to do with PC-DMIS.
In Windows, Start button and then Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners, uncheck the box that says "Let Windows manage my default printer".

this box is not checked. the only reason I thought it had to do with PC-DMIS is it only resets after PC-DMIS crashes. the morning I started this PC-DMIS was crashing like every 5 minutes. was not a productive morning lol

ok one more question. if do not want to save pdf's of the reports would I need converter 50?
