  • Percent of programmers using pcd mis

Does anyone know where to find an unbiased report on what percent of cmm programmers use pc dmis vs any other program like calypso, etc
I found one site that wants almost 5000.00 for their report

Did you know 67% of all stats are made up?

And that stat is only 34% accurate.

I'm not aware of anyone with guaranteed unbiased stats.

    Geographic region also matters, though.

US, Europe and Asia aren't all going to have the same, and unless you like relocating people from other continents, you need a breakdown to at least some area.

Quality Magazine might have done something on this, they have reader surveys to help them generate ad revenue. This might be something they'd have looked at in a survey.

Do you have access to an online library database (possibly from your university or local library?)
I have a SWOT analysis from World Market Intelligence for Hexagon AB, I saved it in 2016, and I think it was produced in 2014.
I also have an article titled "Coordinate Measuring Machines: Here to Stay" published in a August 2012 Quality Mag.
Both have some unbiased quantifiable data related to the industry... message me your email and i'll send them to you.

Well........take with grain of salt, since this is from the Hex site:

PC-DMIS CMM is the world's leading Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) Software with over 70,000 seats in place worldwide. Use its powerful capabilities to measure everything from simple prismatic parts to the most complex aerospace and automotive components.
My current company uses the Demon and Calypso (quite a few licenses) so of course, I sniff around their Zeiss site a lot.... my take is that Zeiss likes to stay tight-lipped about their software and the number of seats. Pretty much cloak and dagger IMHO.

My guess: 50% PC-DMIS only, 25% PC-DMIS and something else, and 25% no PC-DMIS at all...
