Our company recently purchased a Global S CMM and we are having issues with getting 1 of our probes to calibrate on it. We have a .3 x 10.2mm shank with a 40mm extension attached and the shank of the probe is hitting the calibration ball. We have tried changing start and end angle but are still having the same issues. Anyone have any recommendations?

How big is your calibration sphere? I had the same issues with a .3 mm tip using our .75 diameter ball. I needed to get one that is 10 mm in diameter. Everything was great then..Comment

We have a 1" calibration sphere so I think that may be the issue. I didn't realize the sphere we have on our Sheffield Discovery is 19.05MM.Comment
