  • Excel form report removing rules

    Hello
I playing a little with excel form report field. I create own template where all results landing on proper and everything is looking nice.
However I like to have possibility that cells on OOT column turns red when is more then zero. Unfortunately outgoing excel ark, removing rules which I created by conditional formatting (cell value not equal to 0 turns red)
Is it any possibility do make this possible somehow?

I think the only way is to run an Excel macro that colors the cells after the export has been done. I know of no way to do that automatically.

Or is it possible in Excel to 'write-protect' the formatting, and still be able to change the values?

don't know the code you are using to populate the Excel form, but if the code is 'pasting' (like a CTRL-V command), try the Excel command EDIT ~ PASTE SPECIAL ~ VALUES instead of the EDIT ~ PASTE.

Like I said, don't know how the coding it or how it works, but I know a 'little' about Excel functions.

I have done this using scripts / batch files to launch a macro at the end of the program after the excel file is created.

This can be very cumbersome to accomplish though. I struggled converting my macros excel VBA to vbscript and having them "behave" correctly between excel and pc-dmis, and also depending on what I was trying to do within excel.
