    Hello Everyone,
I hope the week is going well for you. I have an issue I just ran in to, hope you can help. We just upgraded our desktop, and I freshly installed PC-DMIS 2019 R2 on our Leitz 7.6.7 Reference Xi with HP-S-XIH head. I also restored the registry from the previous version we were using. I decided to do a gut check on the system. I used a precision half hemisphere ball to do point and scan checks. I've done this many times, and it worked fine. I put the flat part of the hemi on the table, made that the flat the plane (level to, Z origin), did the circle on the equator of the ball (X,Y origin), and constructed an alignment line, which I assigned to plus X (rotate to - in the correct order, not how I typed it here). That's how I set up the alignment. I did the same for the DCC alignment. All looked well.

I then created 4 open linear scans every 90 degrees in Z, creating an intersection resembling an X on top of the hemi. The black lines looked fine, and intersected on top of the hemi as usual. I then ran the scans, and watched them as they ran. They looked to follow the black scan lines every 90 as they should looking at the part. When the graphic result displayed on the model on the screen, the scans appeared to be offset, resulting in the intersection on the top becoming a square! I recreated the scans, it had no effect, it repeated. I exported the scans as xyz points, and the points reflected they were in the correct locations (very close to zero on the appropriate plane). I inserted the analysis function, selected the 4 scans, and the graphic reflected the same result, the scans meeting in a square in the center top, instead of the expected X.

    Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help in advance, J

Maybe add a picture, or some code, to help understand more details of which you are describing. . . .

I figured it out, somehow alignment was corrupt. I recreated alignment, and it worked.
