Offline to Online Program Sharing Violation

Yes, I know this has been discussed on here before I've tried what I have read from previous posts but still can't get this to work. I use 2018 R2 I program from home offline save to my flash drive, then when I go to work I take the program and the cad file copy it, then paste it where my programs are stored in our system. Before I open it it shows the cad under the prg, but when I click open I get this pop up that I uploaded as a photo. I have tried back saving to older versions of pcdmis still I get the same problem. Everything shows up when I open the program as far as measurements just the cad isn't there, so I have been just importing the model again but that's getting old. I have given the program and the cad file the same name so its not that either, wondering if you guys had anything else I am not thinking of because its just getting annoying.

Also when I insert scans on the offline version it just shows points on the cad how do I get it to actually show a solid scan, this happened after IT updated everything from 2016 cad++, then IT also lost all of my probe data so I had to redo everything yeahhhhhh been a rough week.

No picture showing, so I don't know what message you get exactly. A "sharing violation" occurs when more than one program/process is trying to access the same file at the same time, or you are not allowed to open the file with the requested rights (for example write access to a read-only file).

Not an answer to your problem, just a comment on "then IT also lost all of my probe data" - I would suggest creating backups of 'your' data on 'your' computer would be 'your' responsibility, unless something else has been explicitly decided?

Don't you have copies of the probe data at home in the offline system? Or vice versa?

A CAD model of 1kb is an empty CAD file. That's what PC-DMIS creates when you start a new program, or open a program that doesn't have a corresponding CAD file.

Well if I'm creating the program offline and importing the cad offline it imports into my offline program i run the program offline when finished but when i want to put this in my online folder where programs are stored it doesn't appear.

And you copy both xxx.PRG and xxx.CAD from the offline system to the online folder?

What are the chances someone changed your windows default "open with" option for *.CAD files? Maybe someone set it to open with MS PAINT, and it's causing a conflict within the demon?

Edit...Graphic Display Window...Display Symbols, you can use that to change your scan point size. That may be part of the issue you're seeing.
