  • calibration program for 2014 version

need help we are going from 3.7 to 2014
I have never had to write a calibration program .
would some one please provide me with some code to do a weekly calibration of all the probe tip angles.
    thanks in advance.

    This is just an example
The 1st probe you need to answer yes the tool has moved and take 1 manual point top with tipA0B0 at Top dead center
then all rest of probes you answer no tool has not moved...I didn t go into to much detail here so hopefully you understand the basics

it gets a bit messier with a star probe and a few wrist positions. Add some operator instruction and setting the ball in a couple orientations along the way

Umm Yea he didn't say that he was trying to calibrate a star probe at all..But you are correct star probes can get tricky for calibration if you are rotating the head as well other than that star probes are easy to calibrate when at A0B0

The trick is to wind up your probe head and unwind it back to Tip A0B0 in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. This way you avoid smashing into the carriages.

      Example:
      1. load probe
      2. call tip A0B0
      3. move point to a clear area
      4. wind up probe head eg. TIP A-90 B180
      5. call autocalibration and tip order should start with tip from step 4
      6. in autocalibration the tip order should unwind the probe head in the same direction all the way back to A0B0
      7. repeat with next probe on rack

some assumptions are everything involved with MASTER probe and QUALIFICATION tool.
