  • Base alignment not finding part.

    Hello,
This is probably simple. I searched but did not find an exact topic. My start and base alignments are two holes and the plane they are on. Very simple.
When I go through my start alignment, it will not find the holes for the base alignment. It is off in x and y. I translated my model to 0,0,0 and rotated it perfectly.
I started completely over. I just won't find the datum b hole for the base alignment. Thanks in advance!

While I'm not the best at answering these types of questions, I may help expediting the answer from someone else by suggesting that you post some code. (like this: [c0de]the actual code [/c0de] (replace the 0 with o.)

      Thanks.

I might also say that while your part may be oriented from the holes outward, the reverse is true as well. That is "B" to "A" is the same as "A" to "B". If you can measure from the outside edges of the part and locate the features you need, you might be able to realign once you've got them.

I got it. Sorry I never was able to show my code. I was using a slot for rotation around z. When I took it out and only used the hole for x and y location and a point for z, it defaulted the rest of the rotation and worked.
            Thanks!
