  • Merged Model not visible

    Good morning,
i'm trying to compare my CMM programs to the CNC programming models. Sometimes our CNC programmers add tooling tabs w/ holes or are unable to cut features as originally planned.
(trying to avoid crashes.) But importing and merging the .STL file on top of my model (usually .stp) isn't showing the merged model, only the original.
    Anyone else had this issue?

What version?Try going to the cad assembly utilities window sometimes in here if you have 2 or models merged some may not show because of here select both that are in this window and then place a check mark for both models cad assembly Capture.JPG

i would also look into the cad levels window and the cad groups window you never know how someone added a feature to the original cad model..Also try view setup in the levels area there may be another model that is not selected .(my window only shows a zero selected there may be another selection there

Well, your suggestions have helped me view my merged model. Checking the boxes. Thanks!

mtalla thanks for asking and Michael thanks for answering. I've been having a problem with an entire model not showing up. The engineer that made it tried a thing or two but nothing worked. The CAD Assembly showed the check mark in the model. I never even thought to expand it! Sure enough, there was another level that was unchecked.

Its a nice option when you want to import a entire loading fixture and clamps along with your part model and you can turn on and off items in the list like clamps or studs that may be in the way for some reason or another.

Another place to look would be in Edit>Graphic Display Window>Cad Levels.

I have a question on merging models in pcdmis. Is it possible to merge in a new model with a old model on a old program for a part roll.
