Some of the basic stuff is free, others you have to pay for. There is also something to be said about convincing your employer to send you out for a week for a hands on group type setting. Is that an option for you?
Possibly. I haven't pushed on it so other than the initial thought of attending, I've been trying to learn this way so I can use my actual machine. Think the off site training is still helpful without using my actual machine?
Yes offsite training will help you. Hex offers onsite training but for more $$$. Once in class. you'll see that the difference in the machines are size and probe heads.
