  • Change Generic Circle Default from RADIUS to DIAMETER

    is there a way to change the generic circle default of reporting radius to report diameter?

    I want this to be the default

    F37 =GENERIC/CIRCLE,DEPENDENT,CARTESIAN,IN,$
    NOM/XYZ,<PNT301.TX,PNT301.TY,PNT301.TZ>,$
    MEAS/XYZ,<PNT301.X,PNT301.Y,PNT301.Z>,$
    NOM/IJK,<0,0,1>,$
    MEAS/IJK,<0,0,1>,$
    DIAMETER/11.4,D80.M.MEAS

    instead of this...

    F37 =GENERIC/CIRCLE,DEPENDENT,CARTESIAN,IN,$
    NOM/XYZ,<PNT301.TX,PNT301.TY,PNT301.TZ>,$
    MEAS/XYZ,<PNT301.X,PNT301.Y,PNT301.Z>,$
    NOM/IJK,<0,0,1>,$
    MEAS/IJK,<0,0,1>,$
    RADIUS/11.4,D80.M.MEAS

    Not that I know of. However, you can F9 the feature and change it there.

      That's what I've been doing but it gets tiresome after the first 738 times....

    assign\f37_dia_1=F37.radius*2

    Output F37_DIA_1

    Nope!

    It always defaults to Radius.

    This is the kind of tiny little UI thing that just piles more and more straws upon the programming camel's poor back. It's almost as if large chunks of the software were written by people who never actually use a CMM to measure stuff from a print.

    And I don't dare ask The Department Of Hexagon Formerly Known As Wilcox to fix it for fear that the fix will break something completely unrelated.

      I was hoping that there was some vaguely worded setting that could be changed and make life all better.

    There is! The wording goes like this, Retirement! That setting would make life all better , if you can afford it, which most of us can't .

    On second thought, never mind.
