  • Admin. Rights

New computer, new install of software. I have full admin rights. No problems with anything but pc_dmis. cannot do anything inside of pc-dmis. logo.dat file cannot edit anything ,inside, setting editor cannot edit inside, cannot place a new folder inside pc-dimis folder. Says I don't have permissions see admin. I'm the admin. pc-dmis ran as admin at start, have unstalled and reinstalled 2 times same thing. I had a IT person look at it yesterday and they said all the permissions was set ok. sma not up to date only have 2018 and back so calling hex is not a option. any ideas would really help. Thanks in advance.

One thing to try that I has caused me problems before. When you click the icon to install it, right click it and select "run as administrator". After it is installed, do the same "run as administrator" the first time you open DMIS.

Edit to add: Even though you are logged in as the administrator, you still have to do the above.

that was done on both installs. I have installed pc-dmis many times in the past and never had this problem.

If I remember right, in Windows 10, you have to give full rights in several different places. Users/Public/documents/Hexagon.
        Programs/Hexagon
find all your paths to different Hexagon folder locations right click on the folder and choose properties. Somewhere in there is where you see your rights. Reason I showed Public. I think that’s default for the Demon dumping ground. It’s a lot more work searching. I know it took me awhile on my personal computer because I had the same issue, but that was awhile ago.

Under Security Tab For the rights.

They say "Nobody's Perfect." I must be Nobody.

One more question, when you log into your computer, Does it say Administrator, or does it say your name?
