Afternoon, looking for some advice in regards to measuring a hole pitch of a bowed/twisted component in PC-Dmis. A 2D pitch is measured at a intermediate operation an gives us an nominal answer. We then measure when its in a fully machined condition (where there is a permissible element of bow/twist present in the component) and PC-Dmis reports an oversize pitched condition. The trend of the bow/twist suggests the pitch error if anything would report smaller in PC-Dmis (not greater in this case - consistent answer across batches). When the component is clamped down directly to eradicate the bow/twist it agrees with the intermediate operation (x nominal answer. Quindos (fully machined condition/same fixture/same orientation) also agrees the nominal answer. Please advise if possible. Thanks in advance.

by Mike BoeroHow do you use the pitch option for say 1/4-20 thread. What number would go in the pitch box and would you need more that 0 start and 360 end. Thanks...
