  • ERROR CE , S%1, TR_MOV01, 0x14000032 HELP PLEASE

    HI everyone,

Could use your help here. I came from using 2018 PC-DMIS to 2014.1. I don't know if it's because they don't have a maintenance package here for the bugs. But I keep getting the error message above.
I looked it up and it said a software issue. I don't know what that means never ran across an error message like that before. I have been having to turn on and off the computer just to get the software on there. CMM is calibrated. Currently not in an temperature controlled room. (AC broke)

Does this mean I need to update the software?

as far as i konw that is a probe deflection during a dcc movement error. meaning your cmm thinks it hit something during a dcc movement. is your probe tip near anything when you get the error or is it moving in clear space? ive seen this error on my machine if i have a long or heavy probe loaded and the machine accelerates/decelerates quickly. that can trigger the probe and cause this error.

what probe are you running a tp20, lspx etc?

Yes it's near the cylinder it's suppose to hit but doesn't hit it. Probe is a 4 x 105mm. I'll try changing out the probe. I've ran the program before so that's what making this more confusing.

Changed the probe to a smaller one. I'm getting the same error now.

the only other think i can think of off the top of my head is an issue in the controller. hopefully someone else can chime in with a suggestion.

What sensor are you using? TP20? Fake TP20? LSP?

I remember the TP20s needed a flick of the finger to get it 'un-stuck' once in a while.

How sensitive is the touch set to? Both probe tips you're using are quite long (65 and 105) With that long a shank, if you're getting any hesitation during movement, you may get a deflection because of that, I'm thinking.

We had jogbox/air bearing issues in the past and when the unit was trying to rapid from one point to another, it would get a little jerky. Going in turtle? Smooth as silk.

I'd say use a shorter shank, increase the touch pressure required to take a hit, clean the places where the air bearing glides across with alcohol, etc. Any one of those might mitigate the issue, if I'm on the right track.

(Edit: Of course, I could just have revealed how little I actually know about the system, and blown any credibility I might have had...)

Everything is suspect. Get the AC fixed.

I want to believe it's just the AC. I too the machine temp with a dyna temp thermocouple and its at 77-79 degrees.

Yeah, that's over the recommended temp range on most units. Still, the error due to temp is generally inaccuracy in measurement, more so than faulting out, IIRC. I would not be shocked to hear that the problem continues once you get the AC fixed.

You never did say what the CMM is (year, make, etc)...

It's not that it's faulting out I can continue after the error. It just tells me I don't have enough X axis travel in the middle of the part. When clearly there is more than enough X axis travel. Program is a proven program ran it for 10 other parts.
