  • PH10 obstruction

While in DCC the probe head over travels and errors out. For example the probe is at A0B0 and code dictates it to go to A90B90. Index A goes to 90, but B goes past 90 until over travels even beyond 180. I have to restart the controller because it trips the emergency error. I couldn't find much information on PH10 obstructions errors. Wondering if anyone has ran into this issue. I did notice one oddity.

This is the code created when when I select the tip angle from the toolbar. The MCS XPLUS is left to right (old DEA machine, new controller):

    TIP/T1A90B90, SHANKIJK=0.0011, -1, -0.0002, ANGLE=-179.9082

When I go into the Edit probe dialog box the Shank vectors are different (-1,0,0). My gut tells me this isn't right, but it's been wrong before. Any thoughts?

im running a tesa-star probe head but i would think code should read the same,
    here is my code TIP/T1A90B90, SHANKIJK=-1, 0, 0, ANGLE=90

Thanks. I'm sure its an easy solution, just can't find any info on it. Even A0B0 isn't right.

      TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=-0.0016, -0.0002, 1, ANGLE=90.0621

I'm sure this is the issue. It only happens when its reading code(DCC).

Sounds like bad hardware, PC-DMIS just sends the code for the probe change to the PHM controller, what happens from there is up to the renishaw hardware.

The problem was found to be the comm. cable for the probe head. It wasn't following the track like it was suppose to and wore through the wire coatings. Found the problem when we indexed to probe head close to the table. It wouldn't do it when the quill was retracted. My machine is a DEA Scirocco 401310. Hope this helps someone.
