  • Window Layout

I had a generic login/password for a while with my new job. I was given my own login/password recently but I do not know how to take my window layout and save it to my new login. I have searched the forum but I have not found what I was looking for. If any one could give me some help I would appreciate it. We have PC-DMIS 2018 R2.
    Thanks, Cindy

You have to go into your old Login, Go To the Settings Editor and Back it up there. It will save your Settings and then bring that Zip File to your new login and go back into Settings Editor and upload it on there go to Supports/Downloads up at the top, they have step by step instructions there. You can do a search in there.

Never mind I see you can back up just the user settings. Thanks for the information.

Schlag If it was right, it won't work. The only way we know how to make things work here IS with work-arounds!

Stop fighting the Demon and get on the merry-go-around..... simply go with Reset Product and learn to like the Demon's taste in window decor!

We have no assigned log ins here. It's one big free for all. If the guy on days decides to swap stuff around, I've got to live with it... (it's happened a few times, and it's infuriating, because I DID know where everything was...)

Is this something that the IT guy has to do? (assignment of user accounts and such), or is it simply that I save my personal preferences, and I just have to know the right password in order to access "my" settings?

Turn on the toolbar "Window Layouts", arrange everything as you want it, click on the Save button (Diskette) in the "Window Layouts" toolbar. Bingo! Now you have a new button in this toolbar, which will restore *your* layout when you click it.
