  • Changing color of CAD elements in STEP files.

Is it possible to change elements in STEP files, I have tried with no success.
    Thanks!

Don't know about PC-DMIS. In CMM-MANAGER, you can.

I've never had a problem changing colors, once imported, STEP files turn into surfaces, each surface is an individual entity, and can have it's color changed to something different from all the rest.

EDIT ~ GRAPHICS DISPLAY WINDOW ~ CAD ELEMENTS, select what you want, select the color you want it, apply.

I am having no success, I open the window, pick Circle, pick color and the Apply button does not allow me to change it.

Ah, I think I know what you were doing wrong....

Marking the box for "circle" (and only circle) will lock Pcdmis from selecting any surface, and only allow you to select WIRE FRAME circles from the cad model. YOU still have to select the cad data you want to change.
