  • Hero.net - external command

    Goog afternoon,

I'm new to hero.net software, so maybe my question is a bit stupid,

The issue is that i'm trying to export the data from a PC-Dmis part program to Hero.net but my external command seems to have a problem, because i don't find the part in Hero.net.

    EXTERNALCOMMAND/NO_DISPLAY, NO_WAIT ; C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\HEXMET\PCDMISEXTRACTOR\PCDMISEXTRACTOR.EXE VRD:[MKE_DBASE_1]:G:\CLIENTS\CMM_PROGRAMS\TP20\BUNDLE\F92435050\CLA MP_BLOCK - (P00043861-0000)

    CLAMP_BLOCK - (P00043861-0000) - this is the pc-dmis part program name
F92435050 - is the folder where the program is.

Do you need me to explain better? What am i doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

One of the French Apps guys wrote it, it's a database of measurements so you can keep a history of everything, does stats too. Can't remember his name. I think Hexagon adopted the software but didn't actively sell it. I had some training on it a long time ago.

You might need to put the command inside quotes for it to work.

      Code:
      EXTERNALCOMMAND/NO_DISPLAY, NO_WAIT ; "C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\HEXMET\PCDMISEXTRACTOR\PCDMISEXTRACTOR.EXE VRD:[MKE_DBASE_1]:G:\CLIENTS\CMM_PROGRAMS\TP20\BUNDLE\F92435050\CLA MP_BLOCK - (P00043861-0000)"

Doesn't Hexagon have tech support for all their products?

        Thanks guy's that really helped!

If i could have that support i would have it. But the contract is not done with my factory it's with a factory of the group. And the comunications between us and them and then hexagon are not as fast as i needed to be. So i thought maybe the forum could help! And then they did...and they did it brightly

Putting the command inside quotes didn't help at all?

                i'm using something like this

                Code:
                EXTERNALCOMMAND/NO_DISPLAY, NO_WAIT ; C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\HEXMET\PCDMISEXTRACTOR\PCDMISEXTRACTOR.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\HEXMET\PCDMISEXTRACTOR\PCDMISEXTRACTOR.EXE is the location of hero.net extractor, not pcdmis part program

                    Hi there,

I'm sorry for the delay in my answer.

Finally i understood what was wrong.

My external command was almost all okay, but i had the name of the part program at the end and pc-dmis couldn't read it so i delete the part program name and leaved only the folder name.

                    ex: EXTERNALCOMMAND/NO_DISPLAY, NO_WAIT ; C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\HEXMET\PCDMISEXTRACTOR\PCDMISEXTRACTOR.EXE VRD:[MKE_DBASE_1]:G:\CLIENTS\CMM_PROGRAMS\TP20\BUNDLE A330\G54910306_000

So there's no need for quotation marks.

Thank you all for your efforts.
