  • GD&T Report Font Issues

I recently ran into an issue when reviewing reports that shows the following for a true position measurement in a CAD view:

    Capture.PNG

I did some digging on both of our CMM stations thinking that one of them may have an oddball setting or a corrupt font file but both stations exhibit this behavior when printing/saving reports to .pdf. However, the feature control frame is showing as it should in the body of the report, just not in the CAD view. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this issue and knew of a fix for it.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Might be the pdf is created in too high resolution, needing too much RAM, so something must give.

Check MaxPrintResolution and MaxTextPrintResolution in Settings Editor - really no need to go above 600 DPI (dots per inch) there (screens are around 100).

It might also be a problem of access rights - have you tested starting PC-DMIS with right click + Run as Admin, is the behaviour the same?

This worked like an absolute charm! I tried the MaxPrintResolution and MaxTextResolution first but they didn't pan out. However, they were set to 1,000,000 and I have noticed that printing/saving to .pdf occurs without the slight (but noticeable) hiccup from the converter. So I tried activating the "run as administrator function" in compatibility mode and my GD&T is now reporting out perfectly.

        Thanks for looking out!
