  • Custom toolbar CAD import

I am creating a custom toolbar and can't find CAD under file>import in the window where you create your custom toolbar. I see "CAD by reference" but not CAD. Anyone know where it is?

CAD is a generic term. You cant just import a CAD. What are you trying to bring in ? I always use IGES because I like the wireframe information. CAD / IMPORT / IGES. Or step, FILE / IMPORT /STEP.....

That's what I was initially thinking too, but I looked further into this and import CAD is indeed in the file import list on the generic menu list. What this does is let you import the .cad file that PC-DMIS creates when you first begin and name a program. It is, on occasion, useful to be able to pull in that file and this is the pathway to do so. It still doesn't explain why it is not available on the custom list box.

Found what you were looking for. Its in the Pulldown Toolbars menu. Tried adding it to custom and worked great.

I can't find it in the Pulldown Toolbars menu. I'm using 2019 R1, maybe that's the issue.

I'm dumb, I found it right where you said it was. I was looking for a different icon. Forgive me, it's Monday.

I could never find it when I need it. I know it's the first one on the QuickMeasure Toolbar definition and if you don't currently have it a clean install/reset will it bring it back but at the expense of losing all your other settings (ask me how I know).

This is the icon with the *All Files versus a specific CAD type eg. iges, step... that I'm referring to.
