  • 2018 r2 sp5 does not apply bonus @mmc to true position!

On a round part measuring cylinders radially positioned the bonus for each cylinder is not applied to the true position. Using exact measurement with multiple cylinders (basic features are -z- axis and pa (angular), the cylinder diameter tolerance +/-.005, measures nominal, shows zero for bonus!
Using exact measurement for a single cylinder does show the bonus but when you start adding more cylinders in the pattern it clears the bonus for mmc to zero.

Double check that the nominal diameters in the FCF are the same for all cylinders. Also, you could try deleting and recreating the dimension. Xact dims sometimes get corrupted and need to be remade to calculate correctly again

Wow great response Guru's. Yes this is picking from a model that shows all diameters the same. Again round part with holes equally spaced, radially positioned. Basic dimensions are angular and -Z-. Use auto cylinders. Dimension with exact measurement with 10 cylinders. MMC bonus will show zero unless you dimension each cylinder individually. Did you actually test?

            Are you being facetious?

We're not Hexagon support you know, people take their time and effort to help others for no reason other than helping others.

            We may not have...

            a) access to the specific version you're using
            b) a similar part to test this on
            c) the time to jump to it and test a potential bug for a random guy on the internet
            d) the inclination to help a self entitled little [redacted]

So, when having more than one feature in the FCF, the MMC will always display zero? If yes, it sounds like a bug and you should report it.

So, every cylinder's bonus is in a different direction than the others? How should one calculate that? How would the physical functional gage look - if you have trouble visualizing that, there may also be trouble computing the result.

Actually, testing in 2019 R1 it seems to work (but I don't have your CAD model and specifications).

I don't see your point Anders? MMC can easily be considered (and thought / visualised) on an individual hole basis.

I probably thought about it in the wrong way - sometimes I'm quicker than right...
