Basically, talk to your IT department.
Essentially, they can set up a Domain account for you. If they don't want you to have admin rights to everything, they can choose to only have the relevant PC-DMIS files allow admin rights for you. They have to make sure they get ALL of the PC-DMIS files, though...

InspectorJester MikeF This is how we have ours set up. You should be able to shoot your local Hexagon rep an email and they should be able to send you a document that you can hand over to your IT department.

That is correct. If they won't listen to you, they'll listen to Hexagon, or they'll listen for job offers!

I have to disagree. Older versions needed admin rights but newer versions should not.
The locations (both file / folder paths and registry settings) you need access to are detailed in the readme file for the version you are running. A semi-competent IT person will have no[problem giving you access to what you need
You do need admin rights when installing and running for the first time (so get the IT guy down for that), but after that you should have no problems.

The ReadMe.PDF in the PC-DMIS folder has an Appendix B which you should put into the hands of the IT departement. That explains what parts of the hard disk, and what parts of the Registry, [a user of] PC-DMIS need full access to.AndersI
