  • Excel Form Report in 2019R1

    Good evening,
I Have uploaded and beginning the transformation 2019. I am working on the Excel Form Report to send results to. I have also set up Q-Das to chart many of the parts we run a lot of. The problem is with the Excel Form Report. I set up the Tracefields for the report but the only thing that populates to the report are the traces. The dimensions don't populate. I renamed the dimensions from DIM to FEAT. Is there a glitch with that module or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!

What's the OUPUT mode of the dimensions - STATS/REPORT/BOTH/NONE? I would guess the Excel Form Report only shows REPORT or BOTH.

Correct. The only way I can keep dimensions off of the excel is to use NONE for report output.

To get your dimensions into the report,
drag dimension parameters into desired cell (Nom, Meas, Min, Max, etc.),then
you need to set the column or row in the form as a "data area." Select row/column, then right click to set as data area. When you do this it turns yellow.

I'm working on a tutorial for this new feature and Hexagon also has a short promo video:

So far, I like what I see and have to say it's my favourite new feature in 2019 R1.

Yes, I would love it too if I can get it to work correctly. The headings populate. I did click the yellow space for the DIMS and nothing.

I did have a similar problem early on in my testing when my command line for the Excel Form was before my dimensions in the Edit Window. Place you command at the end of your program if it isn't already. If you're still having problems, could you post a screen capture of your form?

The top of the form. Where the part info and operator name goes.

Yes, just change what the cell "refers" to. Right click then select refer to Tracefield. This just changes the data type.

Question on Excel Form Report. I am using it an so far it works great except for one issue. I usually have a large amount of dimensions to report. I used my report template that I use with manual measurements but when it reaches the end of the form it continues to populate the data past my form. The short intro they use in the help files say if you have multiple pages on your form to simply go back and repeat what you did earlier when defining the data area and put it in the additional pages. What I wind up with is multiple pages of the same thing. Dimension 1 on page 1 is Dimension 1 on page 2.
Is there a hook I need to put in telling PC-DMIS that page two is a continuation?

Anyone has so far any issue on using this feature? I am trying to use it and had it to work for a few time and it suddenly stopped working. I re-installed the software from admin account and still the same error. Anyone know the file that is related to this feature in the software folder or registry editor?
