  • Negative Output Dimension

I have a dimension that is .88 inch from my Y Datum (in the negative Y direction). Is there a way to dimension this so that the nominal and the measured output both read in the negative (I.E. -.88 and -.878 respectively)? As it is now, the measured value is positive and if I change my nominal value to negative the deviation is increased by .88 (I.E. 1.758) which is wrong. I'm almost sure this is an easy fix for most of you (so forgive me for the elementary question), but it's just one I've never had to deal with before. Thanks in advance.

if it is a DISTANCE dimension, it will always be positive, no way to change that.

Use the Y location instead of distance.
Or create a report comment, with assignment of value.
