I updated to R2, R1 still pops up in it's place.
I tried to find the .exe file for R2 to put an icon on the desktop but can't find it.

Did it get installed in the correct folder? Do you still have the PCDLRN.exe for R1 open in the background.
2018 R2 should be in your start menu.
PCDLRN.exe is located in: C:\Program Files\Hexagon\PC-DMIS 2018 R2 64-bit
If you have a shortcut to PC-DMIS on your desktop still....R2 doesn't automatically take it's place. That old icon is still for R1. -
