  • Calibrating Angles for a Program

    I am working on a project where they want me to calibrate only the angles that are used in the program. Where I am getting a confused is to how to do this. Write the program and then set up the angles using a variable and placing them in the beginning or what?

    Here's my code so far.

    STARTUP =ALIGNMENT/START,RECALL:USE_PART_SETUP,LIST=YES
    ALIGNMENT/END
    MODE/MANUAL
    FLY/ON
    FORMAT/TEXT,OPTIONS, ,HEADINGS,SYMBOLS, ;NOM,TOL,MEAS,DEV,OUTTOL, ,
    TEMPCOMP/METHOD = AUTOMATIC,MATERIAL = Calibration Sphere Steel,CTE=11.5
    ,SET WARNING LIMIT = TRUE,MINIMUM = 18,MAXIMUM = 22
    ,PART SENSOR NUM=DEFAULT,X SCALE= 20,Y SCALE= 20,Z SCALE= 20,PART TEMP=20
    LOADPROBE/SLOT_5
    TIP/T1A0B0, SHANKIJK=0, 0, 1, ANGLE=0
    CAL_SPHERE =FEAT/CONTACT/SPHERE/DEFAULT,CARTESIAN,OUT,LEAST_SQR

    SHOW HITS=NO
    CALIBRATE ACTIVE TIP WITH FEAT_ID=CAL_SPHERE, QUALTOOL_ID=CAL SPHERE, MOVED=NO
    AXIS THEO MEAS DEV STD DEV
    X < 0.0000 23.2267 23.2267
    Y 0.0000 -5.0046 5.0046
    Z 0.0000> 9.8822 9.8822
    DIAM 5.0000 1.0000 4.0000 0.0000

    Thanks for any help on this.

    I think you could do it by selecting used angles in the probe window, then create a paramater set with them and use an auto calibration recazlling this parameter set.
    From the Core manual :

    "The Mark Used command button is found on the Probe Utilities dialog box.
    This option automatically searches the current measurement routine for AB angles. PC-DMIS then adds any AB angles that are found to the current probe configuration."
