Here Is My Problem My I Had An Unfortanate Accident And The Jog Box Hit The Floor. Luckily Everything Is Still Working Except For I Lost My Probe Beeps. I Can Still Hear A Faint Beep If I Stick My Ear Right Up To The Jog Box Or Take The 4 Screws Out Of The Back And Take It Apart And It Gets A Little Better. But I Hear Nothing Under Normal Operating Conditions. I Cant Seem To Determine What Inside The Jog Box Makes The Beeping Noise And It Seems That It Is Not Computer Controlled But Coming From The Jog Box. I Contacted Hexagon Metrology And Was Informed The Whole Jog Box Needs Replaced For A Small Fee Of $1500!! For A Rebuilt Jog Box. This Sounds Insane To Me Just For Losing The Beep Noise This Should Be Something That Can Be Replaced Without Replacing The Entire Jog Box. Has Anyone Ever Had This Problem And Can This Be Replaced Without Replacing The Entire Jog Box. Thanks In Advance

I am not selling jog boxes, so I would suggest looking for the speaker, it may be like one of those in a greeting card, a thin disc. Check for loose wires to the speaker. If you have any maint. people or feel up to it, you might try to find another speaker like the one in your box at Radio Shack or similar, then solder it in place. It sounds like this should be fixable w/o too much trouble or expense.
If it were me, I would learn to live without the beep before I would spend $1500.00 for just that. HTH
P.S. The officially sanctioned vultures, (lawyers), think I should point out that I am in no way liable for anything that occurs due to you following my advice. You assume all risk and responsibility. And for Pete's sake make sure all power is off, estop in, and all plugs unplugged before doing any surgery on the machine.sigpic"Hated by Many, Loved by Few" _ A.B. - Stone brewery

I'd live with it unless your jog box is giving you different problems - drifting, buttons not working, etc.
Oh, and Wes's disclaimer applies to this advice as well.

Seasonal campsite. May 1st to Oct. 15th. That picture was taken from a chair at the fire ring. I have one of the bigger and better sites there. Just moved onto that site last year. I discovered that years before someone had created horseshoe pits that the last three people using the site had let grow over. A weedwacker does wonders! I probably doubled the size of the site just by cleaning out tall grass that they last family let grow. The site goes at least 50 feet to the left of the camper and even more in front. There is a small runoff between me and the next site in front of me, so they would have to do some serious leveling to sneak another camper in.Last edited by John Kingston; 04-10-2007, 12:22 PM.When in doubt, post code.
