4.1 Why did I do this to myself?

Hello Denizens of Pc-Dmis Forum Land,

I cut over to 4.1 today.
1) dll's not registering
2) No report window
3) Huge row of dimension icons blanked out.

is this typical?

We'll if any one has the time to help me out a bit I'd appreciate it very much. I got some great sheep jokes.

I dont know why you are having the problems you are describing but here is a link to a post that hoedemann wrote about the "proper" way to upgrade. Maybe you can undo and retry the install. Good luck, and now about those sheep jokes....

I think I have a port lock conflict from the XP user profile scheme.

I read the help file...(go figure that) and I think I get the basics of reporting.

I have the deepest of respect for you and the sacrifices you make being the Coal Mine Canary of new releases. So please don't be offended when I say I will wait another couple of months because you said the same thing when 4.1 first hit the road; but then a month or two later . . . maybe next time they will get it right.

The changes between 4.1 and 4.2 are minimal. But the changes that have taken place are going to make everyone very happy(thanks to me)(pat myself on the back). It really is a nice product. I don't have too many issues with it and am very happy using it. There are numerous upgrades that have saved me many hours, but, I have also spent many hours working on the changes that have taken place within 4.2. Again, everyone is going to like the 4.2 that I have produced(slight j/k).

Not really funny, BUT, it DOES give us someone to blame when WE run into troubles with that version. No more face-less (or is that brain-less) drone at Wilcox, but YOU, JAMES, will NOW bear the full force of OUR wrath!

I take full responsibilty for any of the shortcomings of 4.2. Now keep in mind the salesman who sells you a car also assures you that they have your best interests at heart.
