    True Position measurement:

    Code:
     ASSIGN/V1=GETTEXT(662,1,{FCFLOC1})
    Diameter / Width measurement:

    Code:
     ASSIGN/V2=GETTEXT("LINE1_MEAS",1,{FCFLOC1})

Maybe see if something like this extracts the values, then use the variables in you fptr.

      Code:
      ASSIGN/V1 = GETTEXT(647,1,{FCFLOC1})
      ASSIGN/V2 = GETTEXT(688,1,{FCFLOC1})

There's multiple ways to skin this cat. Code 662 gives you the DEV, which is the same thing as the MEAS in this scenario.

Thanks, dph51 and bfire85 both solutions worked. Also for future reference how can i search for these codes on my own in PCDMIS?

Yes. In the help file, search for: A List of Available Data Types

              As bfire85 says.

              Under available data types........
              L (lines)

              D (drf)

              S (summary)

              Have fun.
