  • Move / manipulate CAD origin

Any one here has experience importing a CAD model, and move the origin coordinate system to suit particular setup needs? I've heard you can do that on 4.0 or above, but I have not been able to do it. Any help on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Go under Operation/Graphic Dsiplay Window/Transform. It will translate and rotate the coordiate system to wherever you want it. Works great.

Suggestion: save your program and model first to a test file (one that you can loose easily, without loosing too much work) because you will mess it up a few times before you figure out how it exactly works...

Can you rotate the model also? Is that a side benefit of what you described?

Thanks JD. I'll try that as soon as there is a CMM available.

Yes, translations and rotations are all part of the same dialog.
