Is there a way in PCDMIS to make Expand or contract CAD models?

  • #2
If you mean to actually change the CAD geometry, then no, PCD cannot do that.

    Edit:
I may have spoken too fast. See the post below mine (#3).

You can scale the model... Operations - Graphics Display - Transform. Not sure if its what you need but, you can make the cad bigger or smaller...

        Very interesting.
I didn't know you could do that.
        Thanks.

You can take points on a model and change the number and then hit that binoculars emblem. As Shown

Kirbs, that binocular is to enable the demon to "find" the vector of the feature. if the feature isn't able to snap/associate with a CAD surface, it will normalize the vector to be relative of your current workplane. Even in your pics, your J & K vectors changed to zero.

Kirby - off topic, but if you set "ProbeTesselationMultiplier=.001 in settings editor, you won't have flat spots on your balls anymore.

I think it's in the OpenGL section.

DJAMS that's what is set on. I think your getting a little personal, I really don't think that's any of your business how flat my balls are

louisd interesting so I made the model 1 1/2 bigger hit the binoculars

      and at standard size

now of course I had to make a sphere for the change so it re-aligns the middle of the new sphere. and I hit the binoculars.
