A good GD&T book?

I'm looking for a good GD&T book that has good examples and breaks down the information in laymans terms.

Please give me some suggestions!

I don't know where you are located but if you don't have any GD&T experience, I would highly recommend finding a training class to take.

The class I took used the book "Fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing" by Alex Krulikowski. I would recommend it.

Well, you should have:

ASME Y14.5M-1994 (I think that is the lastest one)

GEO-METRICS by Lowell W. Foster

I do have GD&T experience, about 5 years of hands on.

But there are always things that I want to look up a reference on.

If you need a book to help in inspecting GD&T, the only one that I'm aware of is "Measuring & Gaging Geometric Tolerances" by Gary K. Griffith.

He gives a easy to understand definition of the characteristic along with good instructions / photos of surface plate setups.

ASQ press used to carry it. Prentice Hall may also have it as well.

Same here... Make sure you also get the "Measurement of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing" by James D Meadows also. It goes into a lot more detail concerning measurement and measurement difficulties...

Interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, By: Daniel E. Puncochar. Distributed by Industrial Press.
I like this book because it has lots of illustrations and I can use it to explain GD&T to co-workers.
