As long as you are not rotating the head it should not be too bad, it looks stiff. Once you start putting the head rotation error in there your accuracy is going to expand proportionally (length x the error).Tolerance challenged ... Living in the world of unseen lines.

Pardon me for noticing, but that's quite a long probe you have there!!
I've used extensions like that before, except with just a straight probe, not a star. The probe calibrated just fine, and the accuracy wasn't too bad either.sigpic Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, but rather a skid in broadside, totally worn, proclaiming WOW What a ride!
