Be aware of temp changes. I assume that the extension is aluminum, so you would be looking at a large change in length with a little temperature change.

You been watching A Christmas Story Waaayyy to Much , don't have to worry about an eye cuz we wear safety glasses & all extensions are carbon fiber as trichards said.

With too much wrist action, you could cause your probe to explode

So its true. Some probes do require the use of both hands.

As long as you are not rotating the head it should not be too bad, it looks stiff. Once you start putting the head rotation error in there your accuracy is going to expand proportionally (length x the error).

naw.. its a carbon fiber. if it were aluminum it'd weigh a ton.

Pardon me for noticing, but that's quite a long probe you have there!!

I've used extensions like that before, except with just a straight probe, not a star. The probe calibrated just fine, and the accuracy wasn't too bad either.
