  • Importing a CAD Model

    I would like to import cad models with fixturing into my older programs.
    can someone tell me the best way to get the model aligned with the program?
    I am using 4.1 cad++ (offline)
    I use rayco fixture builder to create an iges file.
    this works very well creating a new program.
    try as i might i can not get the cad to align with an older program (programed online).
    any help on this would be great.

    Well, it tells me one of 2 things:

    1) The cad data you are importing isn't in the same position as your program

    OR

    2) You didn't do a CAD=PART in your alignment. Check this by going to OPERATIONS ~ GRAPHICS DISPLAY WINDOW and see if CAD EQUALS PART has a check mark next to it. Back-up your program, then click on CAD EQUALS PART and if the fixture cad is in the same position as your program, they should over-lay perfectly.
