  • measuring diameters on Diameter

    Hello,

    I am needing help trying to figure out how to measure .406 holes on a 3.562 diameter. I can measure one hole if I have it set to an axis but the other 2 holes are at aprox 60° ± and I cant figure it out.

    I'm using PC-DMIS CAD ++ 4.0

    You have to use one of the .406 dia holes in your alignment. That will set the other 2 by whatever the angle is and you should be able to rotate your probe & angle & measure diameters.
    sigpic.....Its called golf because all the other 4 letter words were taken

      I did an alignment using a .406 hole. When I go to measure another hole which is 120° over it asks me change plane X Plus ?... The hole isn't on a plane. and after it measures the hole it shows up in the display like a line going thru the od and id.
