In a nutshell, can anyone briefly list the differences between CAD and CAD++?

CAD++ also has advanced scans (liner open & closed / grid / UV etc etc)

CAD only has basic Line, Circle , Axis and Cylinder

Let me tell you, the scanning alone is worth it. We do a lot (and I mean a lot) of linear scans to profile concave and convex surfaces. The downside to not having the CAD++ module is that we get the pleasure of programming in a hard point for the start of our scans and have to pattern/paste with pattern the remaining points. Fortunately for us, 99 out of 100 times the Z of the convex/concave surface is shallow enough that I can get away with calling all of the points out at the same Z and after the first run all is well. However, on the off chance that the surface curvature is to large I have to either change my touch distance (which slows everything way down) or plot sections of the scan individually so that I can compensate for the extra travel and not have the head looking for the **** surface for an extra 10 seconds per hit.
