    Create a generic point with move point values <2.2195,0.2855,-1.3822>, then recall the starup alignment and display the generic point coordinates in a operator comment.
    It could help understanding what's going on...

      Well, I was proving another program and came back to this and it worked with no editing. Not sure what happened.

        I have seen this error and then found the actual move that will send me out of of the "work envelope" way down in the program and not in the next few commands. Took me a looooong time to find it......

          Yes, depending on the controller, the coordinates may be checked against limits already when received, or only later when it's time to execute that particular move. But PC-DMIS will not send-ahead past an alignment until all the features used in the alignment has been measured, so inserting extra alignments can be a way to locate the real culprit in such a case.
