  • measureing a distance

I was thinking of writing a program that I want to create a distance fron 2 lines but I would be measuring the line up and down in the z travel would this create any problem. the probe would still be 0,0,1 just want to ask before I tried to do it.

    Thanks

Make one of your lines your z orgin & it will work or do a distance between the lines & look at them in Y- or X-

What Bob said, If I understand the functions output the distance would be through the centroid of the 1st line called perpendicular to the second OR per Bob with one as origin report the centroid of the other.
